During February 2026, I submitted 5 stories to publications, including Strangers in a Tangled Wilderness (1st sub), StarShip Sofa (1^st sub), twice to Electric Spec (5 subs, 2 positive rejections, 1 hold request, 1 publication), and Short Story Stack (3 subs).

I also received three rejections this month, including by foorafaw (2^nd rejection), and twice by Escape Pod (5 rejections, 4 positive).

I did receive this piece of encouraging feedback on a rejection: “Our Associate Editors enjoyed this story, and passed it up to the Assistant Editors. About 10-15% of submissions reach this stage.”

After a busy January, a quiet February was predictable and not unwelcome. Things should ramp up again soon, but it’s nice knowing I have 3 stories pending publication this year. More to come soon!
