During April 2026, I submitted seven stories to publications, including Tome and Space (1st sub), Reckoning (3^rd sub), Body Lines (1^st sub), The Future Fire (5^th sub), Trollbreath Magazine (3^rd sub), Tell Tale TV (1^st sub), and Uncharted (9^th sub; 3 positive rejections).

I also received six rejections from publications this month, including by Strangers in a Tangled Wilderness (1^st rejection), StarShip Sofa (1^st rejection), Strange Horizons (3^rd rejection), Uncharted (9 rejections; 3 positive), The Future Fire (5^th rejection), and Trollbreath Magazine (3^rd rejection). I was holding out hope I’d get attention from Strange Horizons, which is a dream publication, but alas, not this time.

Finally, some incredible – no, amazing – news. After being notified that my story, “The Summoning,” was being recommended to the editor of Amazing Stories for further review, the story was recently accepted for publication. “The Summoning” is a silly ghost story I’ve been sending out since 2022, and am overjoyed it found a home in Amazing Stories. When I have a moment, I’ll write up a Submission History for this tale – it is a long history, probably my longest yet.

Overall, submission activity is starting to ramp up, and getting another story acceptance doesn’t hurt, either. This leaves me with two unpublished stories and two reprints which I am actively sending out. Hoping to have more in the pipeline soon!
